The role of "Pre-registration Pharmacy Technician" at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Gorleston involves training to become a qualified and registered Pharmacy Technician. The position requires a highly motivated individual to gain experience by rotating through various areas of the pharmacy department, including the dispensary and clinical wards, over a two-year period while studying for a nationally recognized qualification.

Candidates must present educational certificates, complete an aptitude test, and have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above (including Maths, English, and Science). The job entails working under the supervision of the Chief Pharmacist and includes dispensing medications, participating in clinical trials, assisting with training new staff, and maintaining compliance with legal and Trust policies.

Duties also involve preparing aseptic products, managing procurement and homecare tasks, carrying out drug histories, and contributing to audits and quality assurance measures.
