The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Higher Clinical Coder for a remote full-time position. The ideal candidate will be an Accredited Clinical Coder or possess significant experience in clinical coding. Responsibilities include abstracting and analyzing clinical information from digitized notes and other documents, coding diagnoses and procedures according to national classifications (ICD-10 and OPCS-4), and entering this data into the Trust's patient information system. The role requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain high accuracy in coding while adhering to national standards.

Candidates should be prepared to manage their workload effectively, maintain confidentiality, and engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on coding practices and changes. They will collaborate closely with the data quality team and participate in audits to enhance coding accuracy and consistency. The Trust may also consider candidates who meet the criteria for a lower band Clinical Coder position.
