University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dermatology Consultant to join their team primarily at Queens Hospital Burton. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including clinical practice, teaching, research, and managerial duties, all planned through a prospective Job Plan that aligns with service objectives. The Consultant will ensure high clinical standards in the Dermatology Service, participate in clinical governance and audit, and provide comprehensive care for patients, including supervision of junior staff. Additionally, the position requires involvement in continuing medical education and active participation in NIHR portfolio studies.

The Consultant will work collaboratively with colleagues in delivering a comprehensive Dermatology service, and is expected to cover for fellow consultants during their leave while adhering to infection control policies and professional guidelines. Responsibilities will also involve educational commitments at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as participating in regulatory compliance and the implementation of best practices within the department and the Trust.
