Band 3: £24,071 to £25,674 a year Pro Rata Per Annum  PERMANENT 
The post holder will support clinicians and support their colleagues to provide efficient support to all members of the clinical teams, and to ensure MDT outcomes are followed up on in a timely manner, and reduce any delays to patients.

The Division of Surgery would like to invite applicants for a Band 3 post to join the Medical Secretarial team within Trauma and Orthopaedics at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals.

There is one position available for 22 hours, and the post is to support Consultant surgeons and the clinical team with the co-ordination and management of Multi-Disciplinary meetings that occur weekly for each sub-speciality in the service. The post holder will be primarily based at Doncaster Hospital, with the potential to work at Bassetlaw Hospital if cross cover is required.

They will need experience in managing the robust systems in place for the administrative engagement of patient pathways. They will need to be able to work flexibly as part of the team - sometimes across sites - to produce clinical correspondence using Medisec digital transcription software from outpatient and inpatient attendances.

Experience in using the PTL (Patient Tracker List) to manage patient's pathway is paramount. A knowledge of medical terminology alongside previous experience of working in a clerical / secretarial role is desirable.

You will be required to display tact and diplomacy, and have developed communication skills when dealing with senior staff, patients, colleagues and the general public.
