The Discharge Lounge Ward Leader at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for leading a dedicated team to provide high-quality care for patients awaiting discharge from the Acute Trust. This role involves ensuring effective management of the discharge process, supporting patients with medications, and facilitating safe transitions out of the hospital. The Ward Leader will collaborate closely with various medical teams and external providers to enhance patient flow and care quality, while also assisting the Senior Matron in maintaining adequate staffing levels and contributing to service improvement projects.

Additionally, the role includes participating in the acute care leadership team, deputizing for the Senior Matron during absences, and helping to implement the trust's quality and nursing strategies. Strong leadership and a commitment to enhancing patient experience and care standards are vital components of this position, along with fostering teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
