The role of Unscheduled Community Care Hub (UCCH) Clinician for Mid & South Essex with the East of England Ambulance Service involves providing high-quality clinical support in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment. This position is part of a system designed to respond to low-acuity 999 calls, coordinating appropriate healthcare responses by working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders. The clinician will be responsible for patient assessment, making informed decisions to refer cases to local healthcare providers, and ensuring efficient service delivery in line with established clinical protocols.

The UCCH Clinician will work autonomously, utilizing their clinical expertise and decision-making skills to achieve service delivery targets while supporting patients during periods of high demand. They will use Emergency Operating Centre software systems to accurately process and document patient information. Additionally, the clinician will serve as a resource for clinical knowledge within the team, contributing to evidence-based care delivery in the local community. The role requires flexibility, as it follows a standard seven-day work pattern.
