The Mental Health Support Worker role at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust in Poole involves providing essential care to adults with mental health or cognitive challenges, particularly those experiencing declining physical health or neurological conditions. The post holder will primarily work on Portland ward, delivering personalized physical, emotional, and psychological support to patients, often in high-stress situations and on a one-to-one basis.

The position requires managing patients who may exhibit challenging behaviors, for which additional training will be provided. The role emphasises delivering outstanding enhanced care and being actively involved with patients to ensure their well-being during their stay.
