We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Leeds, a Category B men's prison
 located in Leeds

Working for a really positive, rewarding and busy team working on complex cases with lots of multi-agency working. Lots of on-site training opportunities with good career development in this team. 


Hours

37.5 hours per week working 8-4pm Monday to Friday, with some weekend working and when site is fully staffed it will be 1 in 8. No night working. 


Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £48,471
 
per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse , your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Working in our integrated mental health team you will be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs.
  • You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
  • You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • You will play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.
