Mental Health Matters is seeking an Estates Manager to oversee its national estate across England, focusing on delivering high-quality, value-for-money accommodations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estates management within a multi-site organisation, experience in risk management, and a relevant degree. Key responsibilities include advising on property selection, negotiating leases, managing property maintenance and utilities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires exceptional communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills, as well as strong project and budget management capabilities.

This full-time position offers a salary range of £43,680 to £48,360 and includes a remote working option, with travel required as necessary. You will require a good working knowledge of health and safety and experience of risk management and mitigation, as this is an essential part of the role. You will need to liaise with a range of stakeholders and external agencies, so will require exceptional communication skills, as well as analytical and critical thinking skills.

About you: To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience of Estates management in a multi-site organisation as well as a degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline. You will need to be able carry out research and source new premises, negotiating with Agents, Solicitors and Landlords and manage our commercial leases. You will have experience of project and budget management, and be able to produce reports and presentations for senior management. You will require a good working knowledge of health and safety and experience of risk management and mitigation, as this is an essential part of the role. You will need to liaise with a range of stakeholders and external agencies, so will require exceptional communication skills, as well as analytical and critical thinking skills. You will need to be organised and methodical, with excellent time management skill and be proficient in Microsoft office packages. As this role covers our national portfolio of properties, so you will need the ability to be able to travel independently as required.
