CASELOAD NHS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ON-CALL WEEKEND
The Band 7 Occupational Therapist for Acute Medical Rehab & Frailty at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for leading the Occupational Therapy team in the Acute Medicine setting. This role emphasises developing integrated hospital discharge processes while providing advanced clinical assessments and interventions for patients with complex health and social needs. The therapist will manage a personal caseload, supervise junior staff, and ensure that all patients receive effective rehabilitation therapy across various units.

Key responsibilities also include maintaining up-to-date patient records, participating in professional development activities, and promoting evidence-based practices. The role requires strong leadership and organisational skills to manage team workloads effectively and ensure compliance with professional standards. The Occupational Therapist will also be involved in training, research initiatives, and may participate in on-call and weekend service. Additionally, the position necessitates physical effort and the ability to travel between various sites and patient homes.
