The Practice Nurse at Springfield Surgery in Godalming will play a crucial role in the clinical team, providing essential nursing care to support the health and wellbeing of patients. This part-time position, offering up to 22.5 hours per week over three days with flexibility, involves delivering general nursing services such as wound care, vaccinations, and phlebotomy, as well as health promotion and screening activities. The nurse will also help manage long-term conditions, educate patients, and assist in minor illness clinics, contributing to care plan development and service improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will utilize their knowledge of evidence-based practices to enhance the quality of care provided within the community, following the GMS contract and Quality Outcomes Framework. They will actively participate in identifying the needs of the practice population and are expected to pursue ongoing professional development to maintain current knowledge and practices. Working closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals, the Practice Nurse will be instrumental in achieving positive health outcomes for patients.
