The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Orthopaedic Pelvic, Acetabular, and Complex Hip Surgery. This full-time position (48 hours per week) will start ASAP and includes educational time for research and quality improvement. The role involves limited on-call duties and requires the candidate to be updated on complex trauma management, holding FRCS (T&O) and ATLS qualifications.

The Fellow will engage in both elective and trauma surgery within a tertiary hip unit, collaborating with experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons while participating in surgery and patient care oversight. Key responsibilities include working in a Major Trauma Centre, participating in pelvic and acetabular surgery, and exposure to a variety of hip surgeries, including revision and complex cases. The post also emphasises the completion of a research project and publication during the tenure.

The role will evolve from trauma and open surgery in the first six months to minimally invasive procedures in collaboration with a Consultant in the latter half. Additionally, the Fellow will have the opportunity to run an independent research clinic and engage in the Virtual Fracture Clinic.
