The NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board is seeking an Interim Director of Infrastructure Development to lead the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Infrastructure Strategy. This part-time role (15-22.5 hours per week) seeks an experienced estates professional with a background at the director level, who has successfully managed capital and infrastructure projects within the NHS. The candidate will collaborate with NHS partners, local authorities, and the voluntary sector to enhance strategic and clinical priorities, relying on strong skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship-building.

Key responsibilities include developing effective infrastructure investment cases, advising on estates operating efficiency and assurance, championing patient needs, identifying regeneration opportunities, ensuring incorporation of healthcare requirements in local authority planning, and promoting sustainability initiatives. The role emphasises the importance of leadership and interpersonal skills to navigate complex stakeholder networks and champion an infrastructure strategy that promotes system efficiencies and reduces health inequalities. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
