The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and dedicated Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse for Ward 1, which is a 34-bed Acute and Short Stay Ward. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the senior nursing team, providing high standards of nursing practice, and leading the ward during challenging situations. This position involves day, night, and weekend shifts, and the post holder will act as the ward manager's deputy in their absence, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.

Additionally, the role includes opportunities for professional development, such as supernumerary time to acclimate to the position and create an individualized development plan. The B6 Sister/Charge Nurse will also have responsibilities in clinical leadership, collaborating with junior nursing staff, participating in multi-disciplinary team activities, and engaging in non-clinical management aspects like governance and audits.
