The Specialist Health Improvement Practitioner role at Livewell Southwest in Plymouth is a 30-hour per week position focused on improving public health outcomes by promoting positive lifestyle changes and reducing health inequalities. The practitioner will initially concentrate on the NHS Long Term Plan's tobacco treatment dependency service, supporting individuals in both inpatient and community mental health settings, particularly targeting vulnerable groups such as pregnant women and smokers. Additional responsibilities include conducting health needs assessments, engaging with local communities to foster health improvements across various areas such as healthy eating and physical activity, alongside managing specific public health interventions in accordance with strategic priorities.
