We have Exciting opportunity for a Senior Biomedical Scientist to lead and inspire within the Clinical Microbiology service at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro.

Responsible for the management and delivery of the Microbiology service, the post holder will be a state registered Biomedical Scientist (BMS) with extensive experience and knowledge in Clinical Microbiology and will have the ability to be a multi-disciplined section lead covering both Virology and Bacteriology on rotation. You will also provide managerial and professional leadership across the wider department. There is an expectation you will take part in the late/call shift system within the department.

This is a fulltime post working 37.5 hours per week. A flexible attitude to working hours is essential. Hours are currently within a framework of 08:00 - 21:00 including weekends and Bank Holiday working together with an out of hours service covering 21:00 - 08:00.
