CANCER GASTROINTESTINAL MATERNITY NHS

NHS England

NHS England is seeking two Senior Programme Managers to join the Earlier Diagnosis Team, one for a permanent position and the other for maternity cover. The team's goal is to meet the Long Term Plan ambition of diagnosing 3 in 4 cancers at an early stage by 2028. Candidates will lead key high-impact initiatives, including the Lung Cancer Screening Programme (LCSP) and the implementation of FIT in the Lower GI pathway, which aim to identify high-risk individuals and streamline diagnostic processes. Each candidate should express their preference for the contract type and specific portfolio (LCSP or Bowel/Genomics), with roles evolving as new priorities emerge.

The Senior Programme Manager for the LCSP will focus on delivering and expanding the lung cancer programme in collaboration with various stakeholders to reduce health inequalities. Meanwhile, the Bowel/Genomics role will oversee the FIT implementation in bowel cancer pathways and manage the NHS Jewish BRCA testing programme, including relationship management with relevant entities. This dynamic environment offers the opportunity to contribute to significant advancements in cancer diagnosis and patient care.
