The role of Costing, Contracts & Information Analyst at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust involves supporting the Costing & Income team in delivering the NHSE National Cost Collection Programme, including the development of activity and pricing models for future contracting arrangements. Key responsibilities include analyzing and presenting activity data, developing and maintaining Service Line Reporting (SLR) and Patient Level Costing (PLICS), and collaborating with various teams such as Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing to ensure data integrity and usability for operational decision-making.

The analyst will also train staff on SLR techniques, develop benchmarking data, and assist with contractual negotiations from a financial perspective. This position demands strong analytical skills, technical competence in costing methods, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively across the organisation. The analyst will be instrumental in producing the Trust's annual NHSE PLICS returns, managing the costing system, and supporting income planning and monitoring processes. Regular reporting and engagement with senior finance staff and operational managers will be essential to ensure robust costing practices and enhance service delivery efficiencies.
