The Ward Housekeeper is an important role within our team and helps to support the nursing team. This role encompasses an array of non-clinical duties which includes assisting with mealtimes, overseeing Domestic and Catering staff to ensure high standards of cleaning, ordering and management of stores, organising repairs and maintenance of equipment and regularly liaising with other departments within the hospital, obtaining feedback from patients and to ensure the drink and meal provision runs smoothly.


Working Pattern:
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week

Culm ward is a busy respiratory unit comprising of a double templated 54 bedded ward (East and West), which includes a respiratory HDU, on Culm East. The position available is for Culm West.

The Ward Housekeeper is a vital role within Culm Ward. As part of the team they are responsible to provide and maintain cleaning and catering services to the patient, ward and communal areas within the Culm template. Ensuring a clean, safe and supportive environment for staff and patients working towards their recovery.

You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic. You will be passionate and be involved in creating a culture of continuous improvement.

The post holder will be expected to carry out a variety of task throughout the day while having excellent communication skills.
