The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Return to Practice Nurse for their Royal Free and Barnet Hospital locations in London. This role is aimed at Adult Nurses whose Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration has lapsed and who wish to re-enter the nursing profession. The successful candidates will work as Band 3 Nurses while completing a 'Return to Practice' course starting in January 2024, after which they will be eligible to apply for NMC registration and transition to a Band 5 Staff Nurse position within the trust.

Key responsibilities include assisting with direct patient care, supporting nursing staff in maintaining patient well-being, conducting risk assessments, and fostering effective communication with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team. The role also involves promoting patient dignity and privacy, adhering to infection control policies, and contributing to a safe and therapeutic environment. Candidates must demonstrate professional behavior, maintain patient confidentiality, and participate in service development and audit as required.
