Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Health Visitor to join their universal Health Visiting service in the Wrexham area of North Wales. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player with strong communication and organisational skills, responsible for managing a caseload aimed at enhancing family resilience, improving health outcomes, and reducing health inequalities while ensuring child wellbeing. The role involves delivering the nursing components of the Healthy Child Wales Programme to children aged 0-5, with a focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care within a community setting.

Candidates must possess a degree or equivalent in Health Visiting along with current NMC registration, and new graduates eligible for SCPHN may apply. The role also includes professional responsibilities in coordinating team work and contributing to public health initiatives as per government guidelines. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable, but candidates who speak either Welsh or English are encouraged to apply. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.

To work as a Health Visitor in the UK, you'll need a combination of qualifications, skills, and personal attributes. Here are the essential requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Nursing or Midwifery Qualification: You must be a registered nurse or midwife, having completed a degree program.
2. Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) Qualification: Additionally, you need to complete a Health Visiting program, which leads to SCPHN certification.
