Band 3: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata pa  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Cancer Business Unit to become a Clinic Coordinator. You will provide an efficient waiting list service to our patients and clinical team of Oncology and Haematology. You will work closely with booking staff, secretaries and navigators to ensure a robust service.

You must have read the contents of the main duties and job description and feel confident that you are able to fulfil the requirements.You should be educated to a good standard of English to GCSE or equivalent and have an advanced level of IT literacy with experience of using a range of IT applications.

The main duties of the job include;

- Having ownership and being responsible for appropriate bookings, cancellations and rescheduled clinic appointments

- To closely monitor clinic schedules to ensure that any mistakes are identified and rectified.

- To liaise with consultants and clinic staff regarding urgent bookings/over bookings

- Fully utilise the clinic capacity where possible

- To be responsible for monitoring missing outcomes and ensure data quality is up to date

- Book rooms according to the clinic schedule

- To check the clinics are prepped correctly (including booking blood tests, chasing scan results and outstanding investigations)

- To liaise with ambulance services regarding transport arrangements

- To communicate face to face and over the telephone to patients, family members and other health care professionals regarding patient appointments

- To open/close clinic create additional time slots and adhoc clinics to meet the changing demands of the service.

- To be able to work independently using initiative and escalating concerns to management where needed

- To cover chemo navigator/chemo unit reception during annual leave
