The Deputy Director of Complex Care - Strategic Commissioning, is a pivotal role, leading the future development of the health and care market across NCL on behalf of the ICB.

The post holder will work in collaboration with system partners to shape the future of care provision and influence the shaping of the market with colleagues from across London and beyond.

The post holder will lead the development of creative commissioning solutions, which are high quality and value for money.

This role is ideally suited to an individual who has the ambition, drive, and courage to transform the health care market, ensuring we meet the needs of our residents, through delivering the aims of our organisation.

Main Duties of the Job



Lead the development of commissioning strategies which will deliver improved value for money through stratification of pricing, preferred provider frameworks, PHB's and Dynamic purchasing approaches (related to commissioning for adults)

Strategic lead for Market development within the care sector

To lead the brokerage function, commissioning health care for complex adults, ensuring VFM and high-quality placements

Continue developing and shaping our quality assurance approach across the directorate to assess and monitor all providers of care for our residents

Lead the enhanced care in care homes (EHCH) agenda, including transference of approach to other sectors.

Develop and embed IFR & PHB systems and processes across NCL

Deputise for the Director of Complex Care, leading key workstreams on behalf of the Directorate.
