Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT is seeking two dedicated Band 5 Staff Nurses to join their 20-bedded gastroenterology ward, A5. The ideal candidates should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality, safe care to patients. Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills are essential, as well as a genuine passion for nursing and the ability to thrive in a challenging environment.

In this role, the staff nurse will act as a registered, accountable, and autonomous professional, responsible for planning and providing compassionate patient care while evaluating its effectiveness. The successful applicants will demonstrate leadership qualities and collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team. They will also support the development of clinical procedures and practice within the Trust and are expected to adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

About us
The post holder is responsible as a registered, accountable and autonomous nurse to act in the best interests of patients at all times and take responsibility for own actions and decisions. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and supervising safe and compassionate care, whilst evaluating the effectiveness of care. You will be required to demonstrate leadership qualities and be open, transparent and trustworthy.The post holder will support staff in the development of clinical procedures, protocols and practice to ensure the effective delivery of service to patients within the Trust. You will be required to workas a member of the multi-disciplinary team and undertake delegated tasks from the ward manager/charge nurse.The post holder will always work within the NMCs Code of Professional Conduct
