The role of Children's Speech and Language Therapist with Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust involves providing assessment and therapy to children and young people aged 0-19 with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) across various settings, including clinics, preschools, and homes. The therapist will collaborate within a dynamic team to deliver effective interventions, develop evidence-based therapy programs, and provide support to families and educational partners. Responsibilities also include measuring therapy outcomes, preparing clinical reports, and participating in ongoing professional development through training and supervision.

Candidates are expected to manage their caseloads based on patient needs and local service delivery models, while also engaging in audits and contributing to service planning and improvement initiatives.
