The Cardiovascular CAG is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Barts Heart Centre's Cardiac Admissions team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who will be responsible for the daily workings of the Cardiology Admitted service and work closely with the cath lab schedulers, team leader and beyond.
The purpose of this post is to provide effective and efficient flow of patients waiting for elective procedure here at St Barts. As the Scheduling Assistant, you will schedule appointments, add patients to wait list and ensure the daily admin duties of a department are perfomed like checking the teams inbox. You will be working in a fast paced service where duties to be done changes frequently. We are looking for someone that can work with initiative, well organised and a quick learner. NHS experience is desirable but not essential but do recommend candidates to be well versed in knowledge regarding the different pathway gates the Trust follows.
In return, we will develop your skills, knowledge and experience with formal and on-the-job training. Your primary base will be St Bartholomew's Hospital, West Smithfield, London, EC1A 7BE. We will enable flexible working patterns where possible.
The post holder will be expected to provide administrative support within the Lab Bookings Team. The post holder is required to take on duties to ensure that the other Administrators can complete their role. The post holders role will range from printing referrals from the Trust system, registration of new patients and ensuring all referrals have work sheets attached and completed in order for planning and bookings to be carried out. The post holder will be required to contact patients with their Pre-assessment appointment and procedure date. The post holder will also be required to assist the rest of the team in ensuring that things are done in a timely manner to help facility the patient's admission. The post is
