The Engineering Manager at Northampton General Hospital will spearhead the Estates Maintenance Team, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems to support the Trust's carbon reduction efforts through renewable technologies. This pivotal role involves leading the implementation of a pre-planned maintenance program, managing daily reactive and remedial works, and ensuring the compliance of engineering services with statutory regulations and Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) guidelines.

Key responsibilities include overseeing routine and urgent maintenance, managing service contracts, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. The Engineering Manager will also participate in out-of-hours duty management, support engineering activities during tests and shutdowns, and engage in feasibility studies to identify savings opportunities. Furthermore, the role requires maintaining the highest levels of safety and statutory compliance across the Estates Maintenance Team while liaising effectively with relevant stakeholders.
