The role of Practitioner Psychologist with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHSFT in Trafford is a permanent, part-time position (22.5 hours/week) within the Community Pain Services. The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychological support to users in community and secondary care pain settings, conducting advanced assessments of complex chronic pain cases and determining appropriate clinical interventions. The psychologist will work autonomously while adhering to best practice guidelines, offering consultation to NHS clinicians and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should be HCPC-registered and possess experience in physical health settings, particularly in pain management programs.

This position offers an opportunity for established Clinical/Counseling/Health Psychologists to further develop their expertise in a community pain multidisciplinary team (MDT) environment. The role includes managing an independent caseload, contributing to team objectives, and engaging in research and policy audit activities.
