The job is for a Second Chef position at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK with over 224 homes and hospitals. The role involves assisting the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus while working with residents to tailor the menus around them. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks, and will also be part of a company that is driven by quality and celebrates life.
The Second Chef will work alongside the Head Chef to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards. They will manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, assist with menu development, and work within budget. The role also involves leading and motivating a team, completing regular audits, and managing stock control.
