Senior Staff Nurse - Specialist SACT Nurse (Oncology and Haematology) Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital | Nursing | Permanent | Full Time Up to £38,000.00 per annum depending on experience 37.5 hours per week Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital currently has an exciting opportunity for a Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy Nurse to join The Milverton Suite, aHaematology & Oncology Day Unit. The Milverton Suite treats a variety of haematological cancers and solid tumours, including lymphoma, myeloma, breast, gynaecological, Upper GI, Colorectal and prostate tumours. You will work within a small team of skilled SACT nurses as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that our patients are treated with the best possible care. With our consultant / nurse-led service, you will be working directly with clinical leaders, gaining experience with new practices, equipment, and facilities. As a Senior Staff Nurse - Specialist SACT Nurse (Oncology and Haematology), you will:
Lead by example and be an ambassador for Nuffield Health Use clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's needs Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care Deliver high quality holistic care to our patients Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments Complete UKONS triage and assessments Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies Interact with practitioners from other departments Educate patients in the management of their care Assist with outpatient consultant clinics - offering you an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within cancer care. As a Senior Staff Nurse - Specialist SACT Nurse (Oncology and Haematology), you will have:
Be NMC registered and be a qualified nurse Have a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent) You should have a minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience Be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation and accessing Central Venous Access Devices Be competent in UKONS triage Desirable but not essential:
