Contribute to national and regional guidelines and policies, translating high-level objectives into practical, actionable plans for local implementation.
Promote equality and diversity within the workforce and education programs, ensuring all initiatives meet the needs of a diverse service user base.
The Christie NHS FT is seeking a Workforce and Education Programme Manager to join the Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance in Manchester. This role involves leading initiatives to enhance and expand the cancer workforce, aligned with the National Long Term Workforce Plan. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Programme Director and Senior Programme Lead, overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive workforce and education program, while fostering collaboration across various healthcare teams and settings. Responsibilities include managing workforce transformation projects, building relationships among stakeholders, conducting data analysis to inform training needs, and ensuring patient and carer involvement.

The role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning, and the ability to influence stakeholders across the healthcare system. The Programme Manager will also supervise team members, manage budgets, and identify funding sources to support program delivery. With a focus on quality assurance and continuous evaluation, the position aims to create impactful solutions that address current workforce challenges in Greater Manchester's cancer services, while promoting equality and diversity within the workforce. The position is fixed-term until March 2026, with consideration for secondment requests.
