The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time, permanent Band 7 Clinical Scientist in Radiotherapy Physics to join their team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The position involves performing and assisting in various aspects of the Radiotherapy Physics service, such as dosimetry, machine quality control, treatment planning, and imaging. The department supports a high volume of radiotherapy treatments, utilizing advanced technology including Elekta linear accelerators and TomoTherapy units, while also employing 4DCT, SABR, and SGRT techniques.

The role includes responsibilities such as the calibration and quality assurance of treatment units, general dosimetry, and patient-specific IMRT measurements. Candidates close to registration may be considered, and the position requires occasional evening and weekend shifts. There are also opportunities for involvement in projects and new developments within the service.
