The Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Band 7 Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to lead the surgical and vascular physiotherapy services within the Acute Respiratory, Critical Care and Surgery (ARCCS) Team. This role requires strong leadership and autonomous decision-making skills to enhance patient assessment, discharge planning, and overall patient flow in a busy clinical environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the physiotherapy service in surgical and vascular wards, coordinating care alongside a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Providing specialist assessment, treatment, and advice to patients, including support for critical care and paediatrics as needed.
  • Engaging in amputee outpatient clinics and providing guidance to medical wards.
  • Contributing to ongoing professional development with support from clinical leads and peer colleagues.
  • Participating in on-call and weekend duties after an induction period, as part of a 7-day therapeutic service.
