The Special Schools Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy team is expanding in order to provide a more comprehensive offer to students in Post 16 education. This post is one of three newly funded posts, developed to provide improved resilience and capacity within the established PTOT team.
You will be joining a brilliant team of 20 other PTOT registered and non registered support staff delivering outstanding care to students in the four main Special Schools in Sheffield.

To provide a specialised and high standard of physiotherapy care as a member of the physiotherapy team and multi-professional teams within the Special School setting.
To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessments of children presenting with a wide range of conditions and problems.
To provide a diagnosis of the problem related to physiotherapy.
To develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme for each child.
To independently manage a personal caseload of children, working without direct supervision.
To access the advice, training and support from senior physiotherapists available but also undertake aspects of clinical duties as a developing autonomous practitioner

Please note that Sheffield Children's uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is £12.60 per hour.
