Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust in Kidderminster
We would like to appoint a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in the AMH Neighbourhood Mental Health Services (NMHS) in Wyre Forest/Worcestershire (other locations would be considered). We are a pilot site for the Transformation Model working in the community considering local need and linking with community services. This is a Band 7 permanent post for 30 hours per week (full time or part time hours considered). We provide face to face and virtual interventions as clinically appropriate. The AMH psychological pathways are for individuals with moderate/severe, severe/enduring, psychosis/bipolar and emotionally unstable presentations. This post holder would be working on the severe/enduring pathway. The post holder will apply Clinical or Counselling Psychology core values and clinical practice. They will encourage empowered service users to be active in their own recovery and encourage trauma informed care across the NMHS. The post is integral to the NMHS, working with other psychologists and mental health professionals. The post holder will be a valued member of the psychology provision within the Trust. The post holder will provide psychological assessments leading to the development of psychological formulations and individual and/or group interventions. They will work virtually and face to face as appropriate. The post holder will receive both clinical supervision and line management. Across the service we offer a variety of supervision for evidence-based models and invest in model specific supervision. The post holder will attend all necessary NMHS team meetings and be involved in the NMHS psychology provision professional meetings. About us Alongside the Band 7 Job Description and Person Specification, the post holder will: Behave consistently with and promote the values of the trust, Adhere to HCPC practice guidelines, Implement the psychology provision guidelines and trust policies, Evaluate referrals, undertake the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with psychological difficulties with a varying range of complexity and aetiology with reference to clinical need and service capacity. Meet and maintain targets within the psychology provision. This post will also be considered for candidates in their final year of professional training and prior to becoming registered as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with the HCPC. They would be employed on a Band 6, fixed term, Trainee Clinical/Counselling Psychologist Job Description. Upon HCPC registration the post would then be upgraded to Band 7.
