We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, friendly and approachable person who is able to use there initiative.
The ideal person will be someone that will go the extra mile for the patient and support the team. They should have the skills in place to work with us in general practice along side our practice nurse and be able to work independently supporting a variety of clinics and clinical services. This vacancy would involve 2 clinical sessions per week, either mornings or afternoons and working in reception over 4 mornings (8:00-1:30) /afternoons (1:30-6:30)
- To perform Blood pressure checks
- To carry out NHS Health Checks and ECG's
- Administer seasonal Influenza vaccines
- Administer B12/Pneumococcal/shingles Injections under a Patient Specific Direction (PSD)
- Collecting and recording of specimens prior to dispatch by courier as required
- To carry out simple dressing changes utilising aseptic technique according to the Practice Nurses management plan
- Removal of Sutures, clips and staples
- Urine tests

- Stock control and ordering
- Chaperoning duties
- Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
- Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
- Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
- Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
- To contribute to screening /contacting patients to meet QOF requirements and Enhanced Service outcomes
Attending training courses as directed/when required
