The role of Patient Pathway Co-ordinator in Anticoagulation at Basildon Hospital, part of the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, involves enhancing the patient experience by managing the administrative processes surrounding their healthcare journey. This position requires the candidate to provide comprehensive support to clinical staff, including scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate patient records on various electronic platforms, and ensuring effective communication with patients and their families. The coordinator will also take charge of cross-cover duties at the Orsett hospital reception to ensure a seamless administrative service.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Patient Pathway Co-ordinator will engage directly with patients, addressing inquiries with empathy and efficiency, relaying important health information, and ensuring that all aspects of patient care are coordinated. Collaboration with the Anticoagulation nurses is critical, as the co-ordinator will assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare targets and streamline operations within the clinical team to facilitate the delivery of safe and effective services.
