Job Summary: Healthcare Assistant at St Ann’s Hospice, Manchester
St Ann’s Hospice is seeking a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. The HCA will work within the inpatient unit, closely collaborating with registered nurses to support the planning and delivery of palliative care. Key responsibilities include providing holistic support to patients and their families, maintaining accurate records, ensuring adherence to hospice policies, and participating in care planning and team initiatives.
The role requires effective communication with the multidisciplinary team, supporting bereavement processes, and engaging in personal and professional development. HCAs will also support new team members and participate in ward meetings.
