The Holistic Wellbeing Worker role at Compass in Grimsby focuses on supporting children and young people (CYP) in understanding and addressing their mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. This position is part of the Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs), which aim to provide prevention and early intervention services for mild to moderate mental health issues in educational settings. The worker will deliver psychoeducation to CYP and their support networks—such as families, educators, and community stakeholders—through assemblies, workshops, and training sessions, emphasizing topics like self-esteem, body image, and eating difficulties.

Operating under a two-year innovation-funded project, the Holistic Wellbeing Worker will collaborate with education staff to enhance the Whole School Approach (WSA) to mental health and wellbeing while providing essential advice and support to connect CYP with appropriate services. The role is crucial in expanding the mental health workforce available to students and fostering a culture of mental wellness within educational establishments.
