The Head of Service for Advanced Clinical Practice at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) within Community Health Services (CHS). This role involves ensuring effective governance of clinical services, particularly focusing on medical and ACP provisions, while overseeing 250 inpatient beds across community hospitals and the Virtual Ward services. The post holder will collaborate with the leadership team to develop, implement, and review ACP services, guarantee high-quality patient care, and manage staff recruitment and deployment. Responsibilities include providing clinical leadership to the ACP teams, maintaining accountability for performance and safety, and balancing a work plan comprising 20% clinical duties and 80% leadership, education, audit, and research.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CHS Associate Medical Director, Executive Director, and Head of Nursing, emphasizing collaboration with Consultant Geriatricians to enhance patient care and streamline treatment processes. They will play a crucial role in the planning and delivery of service improvements while also participating in the directorate's silver on-call rota.
