The Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner/Team Lead for its Children in Care Team at Walsall CAMHS. The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in a mental health-related field, such as Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist, and will be responsible for leading a small team in delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people facing complex developmental challenges. Key responsibilities include team leadership, service development, management of clinical incidents, and collaboration with multi-agency partners to ensure effective care planning and safeguarding.

The role requires strong leadership skills and an ability to engage with children, young people, and their families, encouraging their involvement in care delivery. Additionally, the successful candidate will oversee staff development, provide training, conduct evidence-based mental health assessments, manage a specialist caseload, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and safeguarding protocols.
