Sunderland Counselling Service is seeking two full-time Community Treatment Team Counsellors to join their team, providing secondary care mental health interventions in South Tyneside and Sunderland. The ideal candidates will work to support clients with diagnosable mental health conditions, collaborating closely with other professionals within the Community Treatment Team (CTT). Responsibilities include conducting assessments, making check-in calls, and delivering up to twenty sessions of time-limited counselling focused on issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and emotional distress.

The role primarily involves working in South Tyneside, but travel to Sunderland and potential home visits may be required. Candidates will interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, ensuring the use of interpreters as needed, and must demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities. Regular participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings is necessary to identify suitable clients for counselling interventions.
