The Clinical Senate Chair in Cambridge will oversee the strategic and operational functions of the Clinical Senate, ensuring alignment with commissioning goals to enhance patient outcomes and population health. Responsibilities include providing clinical leadership, offering strategic advice to health and social care organisations, and promoting the Senate's role in commissioning processes. The Chair is expected to engage effectively with various stakeholders, manage complex and sensitive situations, and lead initiatives aimed at improving quality within the health system.

The position requires excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to foster collaborative relationships and drive innovation across key partnerships. The post-holder will report to the Regional Medical Director and work closely with the Head of Clinical Senate and Academic Health Science Network (AHSN). This role also involves chairing expert panels, managing the Clinical Senate Council, and ensuring broad engagement with clinical leaders and experts across the health and care landscape.
