The Dietetic Assistant will work under the supervision of a clinical dietitian to support the nutritional needs of service users, primarily focusing on individuals with eating disorders. Responsibilities include conducting nutritional analysis using specialized software, supporting meal planning and group facilitation, and developing educational resources for clients, families, and other healthcare professionals. The role involves maintaining clinical records, assisting in training sessions, participating in team meetings, and collaborating with other health professionals.

Key tasks include:

  • Assisting dietitians in working with individual or groups of service users.
  • Developing and delivering accessible information and resources.
  • Participating in team meetings and supporting meal times and nutrition groups.
  • Using software like Nutritics for recipe and menu analysis.
  • Maintaining clinical equipment and records, along with completing administrative tasks.
  • Engaging in professional development through training and reflection on practice.
