The SPA Tele-triage Clinician role at NELFT in Maidstone involves providing telephone triage services to assess and direct young individuals facing emotional and mental health challenges to suitable support resources. The position requires experienced clinicians, such as Registered Mental Health Nurses or Social Workers, with a strong background in child development and mental health treatment. Key responsibilities include screening new referrals, conducting tele-triage and risk assessments for crisis calls, and collaborating closely with local mental health services to ensure timely and effective care pathways for children and young people in Kent and Medway.

The post-holder will engage with families and professionals by offering evidence-based advice and support, ensuring that children and their families can make informed decisions regarding interventions. The SPA operates Monday to Friday and emphasises team involvement in service improvement and professional growth, while adhering to principles of evidence-based practice and co-production with service users. Candidates should possess extensive clinical experience with young people and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and manage care appropriately within a multidisciplinary framework.
