Our team in Cornwall are recruiting for an experienced Medical Lead to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group.
Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, with supervision from an Associate Medical Director, you will lead and be responsible for the provision of medical care in our service, ensuring that our standards of care allow service users to achieve their recovery goals. You work alongside the Clinical Lead to guide and support clinical staff working within the service, working hand in hand with the service manager to foster a continuous improvement mindset and ensuring that evidence based best practice is delivered in line with national, organisational and local standards. You will promote a care quality governance structure that is built on open engagement, enquiry and learning, whilst working collaboratively across professional and organisational boundaries, to maximise the potential for delivering excellent care quality. It will be vital for you to develop strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders and commissioners for the continuity of service, as well as leading on delivering opioid substitution and detoxification treatment, alcohol detoxification and relapse prevention treatment and other clinical interventions.

Successful candidates will work as part of the adult community team, alongside in-house services which include outreach, hospital, clinical and criminal justice. The successful candidate will be based in either the Truro, Liskeard or Penzance services - please state in your cover letter which service is preferred.
