The Data Quality Assistant at Horsefair Practice Group in Rugeley plays a crucial role in supporting the Data Quality function to enhance patient care. The position involves processing daily workflows, including scanning and read coding documents, managing patient notes, and assisting with Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) activities, Enhanced Services, and immunisation targets. The assistant will also support the Data Quality Lead on various projects, provide IT support, liaise with patients and health professionals, and contribute to clinical governance and information governance tasks.
Additionally, the role requires monitoring a generic email account, performing clinical duties like session management, developing knowledge of search functionalities, assisting with audits, and learning maintenance functions of the EMIS web system. Other ad-hoc duties may be assigned as needed to ensure the effective operation of the practice.

Main duties of the job
- To process the daily workflow (Docman, correspondence, EDTs) in accordance with the practice policy- scanning and read coding documents as necessary.
- Action of daily tasks and patient notes.
- To assist in the Practice with QOF, Enhanced Services, Immunisation/Cytology targets, cytology recalls, seasonal clinics and general use of the clinical system and Open Exeter.
- Summarising patient notes within requirements of the GP Contract.
- Assist the Data Quality Lead on projects that may arise.
- IT support including HIS/EMIS/Docman. Liaise with 3rd parties where necessary.
- Liaise via telephone with patients, outside agencies & other Health Professionals
- Monitoring of the generic email account daily.
- Clinical duties, including creating and adding sessions.
- GP 2 GP
- Maintain the 8 BAV list.
- To develop a knowledge of searches through basic training, assist with audits and data checking.
- To learn basic maintenance functions of Emis web to help with the effective workings of the practice.

- To undertake other duties as may be required from time to time.
