Drs Reddy & Nunn in Bridlington are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join their friendly practice, either for someone looking to enter General Practice or an experienced HCA aiming to enhance their skills. The role focuses on delivering outstanding patient care within a dynamic primary care environment, emphasizing treatment, preventative care, health promotion, and patient education while maintaining a professional and compassionate attitude.

Key responsibilities include performing clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, ECG recordings, monitoring blood pressure, administering vaccinations, and conducting diabetic foot checks. The HCA will also be involved in preparing and processing laboratory samples and contributing to health promotion initiatives. Candidates should be team-oriented, understand team dynamics, and prioritize the privacy, dignity, and safety of all patients, while being aware of safeguarding issues for vulnerable individuals.

The role will be suitable for a motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to move into General Practice or for an experienced HCA who would like to develop their skills with us.

You will deliver and assist the nursing team in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education. Maintaining a professional attitude towards patients and always display an understanding and a caring attitude.

Duties including but not limited to:

Phlebotomy

ECG recording

Blood pressure monitoring

Flu, Pneumococcal vaccinations and B12 injections under a Patient Specific Direction

Urinalysis

Diabetic foot checks and yearly interim reviews

Chaperoning

Preparation and processing of laboratory samples i.e. MSU
