The role of Lead Pharmacist Clinical Effectiveness at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust involves leading the development and implementation of strategies for the clinical and cost-effective use of medications across the organisation. The position, based at either Musgrove Park or Yeovil District Hospitals, requires close collaboration with healthcare commissioners and teams to create efficiency savings plans, particularly for high-cost drugs. The successful candidate will support the development of treatment pathways, manage the Trust's formulary, and contribute to the Drug and Therapeutics Committee, ensuring evidence-based practices and adherence to NICE guidelines.

This position is designed for enthusiastic pharmacists looking to make a significant impact on clinical effectiveness, with the option to start at Band 8a and progress to Band 8b as they meet the role's full requirements. The Lead Pharmacist will also participate in delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services that cater to the needs of both patients and healthcare professionals within the Trust.
