The Senior DBT Practitioner role at 306 North London NHS Foundation Trust is designed to support the expansion of the Barnet CEN Pathway, focusing on delivering evidence-based Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help residents with complex emotional needs, particularly those diagnosed with personality disorders. This position involves collaboration with the DBT Lead and other mental health professionals to establish therapeutic pathways that reduce inpatient admissions and facilitate transitions from inpatient to community care. Key responsibilities include conducting specialist psychological assessments, formulating treatment plans, implementing various DBT interventions, and supervising clinical team members.

Additionally, the role requires effective communication with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. This includes acting as a key worker for clients, providing DBT supervision, managing risk assessments, and offering ongoing advice on psychological aspects of care for patients with personality disorders. The Senior DBT Practitioner will also contribute to service development, reporting on outcomes, and maintaining a high quality of therapeutic support within a complex healthcare environment.
